Soup Mush™©® - Patent Pending

Image
There are certain bites of food that bring an enormous amount of comfort when tasted. We all have our favorites, but there is one that I want to share with you. It's one of my absolute favorite ending bites to a meal. You don't need to travel to restaurant to get it or spend a bunch of money on ingredients you don't normally have on hand. All you need is a few saltines and a can of soup, preferably broth based. Although, this trick works almost as well with a cream based soup. First, make your can of soup. If you're feeling adventurous or don't like the salt ladened canned stuff, make a whole stockpot's worth from scratch. Put 5 to 10 saltines on the plate that will hold your soup bowl. Next, put the normal amount of soup you would eat in a bowl. Put the bowl on the plate with the saltines, sit down, enjoy your soup, and keep eating until there is a small amount of broth (and maybe a few bits of veggies) left. Here is where the magic starts. 2019 Unplayed Games Recap

Image
I was able to get my unplayed games down to 0 at before end of last year. Then Christmas came, I made a few trades, and bought a few more. Spoiler alert: I got back down to zero again, but I wanted to take some time to recap the games that joined my collection. Some have gone. Many have stayed.  I give some credit to doing the  Get Your Magic Number to 0 Challenge   again this year. Your magic number is the number of unplayed games. Through plays, trades, or donations, you have to get to 0. Having less than 7 or 8 unplayed games in my collection at anyone time made it quite easy to complete. As with previous years' lists, I'm going to give a quick run down on each and give an update on its status in my collection. I thought the theme of this game was really interesting. Players are all part of a family running a hotel that kills the guests and takes their money. The idea is to make the most amount of money without being caught by the police. Some of the guests will mak

My New Decade's Resolutions

Image
Every year people set New Year's resolutions in an effort to better themselves in some way. It might be to get healthier, more financially stable, a challenge to incorporate a new habit, or some other thing that they've struggle with. I'm one of those people and have written about my resolutions here on the blog over the past few years. My most recent post was about the the 3 things I want to accomplish in 2020. Yesterday, I stumbled across this tweet , which I assume was meant as a joke. It reads: "So what are everyone's new decade resolutions? Just remember these are ten times more binding than regular new years resolutions." It immediately got me to thinking about doing just that. I'd never considered doing it myself and frankly had never heard of it being a thing. A quick Google search revealed that they're rarely called "New Decade resolutions". Most of the stuff I could find was more about long term planning goals. The usual things
