Day 20
I'm grateful for my parents. They've always been there for me whenever I needed them and raised me to be the man I am today. I'm lucky to have the constant love and support that they give.

Lay's Stax are better than Pringles

In the world of tube packaged potato chips, there are really only two options: Lay's Stax and Pringles. Both of these products aren't technically potato chips, they're potato crisps. The difference between a potato chip and a potato crisp is that the former is fried sliced potatoes, the latter is a processed and formed snack item made up of potato and other starches. While I prefer an actual chip to one of these potato crisp snack items, if given the choice I'll take Lay's Stax over Pringles every time. Right off the bat, the biggest difference between the two is that Stax aren't as thin and wispy as Pringles. I am 30 or 40 years old and I do not need this.

I said in my  Turning 39  post last year that I probably wouldn't post something like it this year and I'm not going to. That post was a deep look into what was going on in my life and what had gone on since my  Turning 32  post. Both were written in a sort of stream of consciousness style where I asked a lot of questions and made a lot of statements that I may or may not have stuck to. This post is not that. This is just me recognizing that I am not in my thirties anymore. I am 40 now and I will be in my 40s until I am not. Hopefully I will be in 50s until I am not and then in my 60s until I am not and well...you get what I'm saying. The title of this post comes from a favorite animated show of mine called Aqua Teen Hunger Force . June 2025 Wrap-Up

June was by far the busiest month in years. We had something going on every single weekend, the school year ended, and there was so much going on at work. The end of my guys' weekend at  the Castle House  started the month, proceeded by a solo trip back to Syracuse for a friend's wedding, then Christine and I spent a nice weekend in Lancaster, PA, we went to Captain Kidd's Pirate Day at the Kalmar Nyckel Museum, then spent a week at the beach in Rehoboth, and finished the month at the Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Festival with the kids, my mom, my brother, and his girlfriend. I'm only back to work three days this week before going to NY for the 4th, but we'll save that for next month's post. There were multiple work conferences in June, one being our Rural Health Conference that saw a record number of attendees.
