  A couple months ago, I started watching various video games being streamed on Twitch. My favorite channel by far has been T90Official, who casts various Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition games. T90Official a.k.a Tristan also shares the best of his content to his Youtube channel . I never thought I'd be a person who watches e-sports regularly, but I guess it's no different than me watching friends playing one player video games when I was younger. There are a lot of tournaments and high level games, so there are hours and hours of games to watch each week. I actually found out that Age of Empires II got a new edition released from another Twitch channel that I watch. I had such fond memories of playing the original over 20 years ago that I needed to know more about the new one. In 2019, the game got updated graphics, campaigns, and civilizations. I downloaded and played a few games on our crappy laptop, but I really want to get a new computer so I can play more often.  Now

Christine saw an advertisement for a drive-thru dinosaur exhibit up in Philadelphia that she knew the kids would love. We thought about bringing them, but by the time I went to get tickets, they were sold out during the times we realistically could go. Lucky for us, they extended the dates and moved the exhibit to a bigger venue, so we were able to go last Friday. We kept the whole thing a secret so we could surprise them when we got there. We looked at it as a reward for getting through a very brutal first two weeks of school...that's a post for a different day.  We decided that we'd stop at McDonald's to get dinner to eat on the way up to keep them somewhat distracted for part of the drive. When I went to order the Happy Meals, I noticed the toy was from the new Jurassic World series so they all got a dinosaur themed toy.   August wasn't great overall. I hope I'm not losing steam. 1)  Write at least 2 blog posts each month I shared the a podcast that I really enjoy,  The Endless Honeymoon Podcast Our cherry tomato plants have gone crazy, now I just make batches of Roasted Cherry Tomato Pasta Sauce . 2)  Complete the 10 x 2 Board Game Challenge We didn't get any of our challenge games in with Shawn and Kelly and we never found time to play together. I'm starting to get concerned that we're not going to make it at this point.  3)  Bake at least 2 different baked goods each month August was an okay month for baking. I'm back into weight loss mode, so I've not been super keen on baking much because I'm usually the one who ends up eating most of it. That being said, I did work on my my bread a bit. To start the month I made peanut butter dark chocolate Oreo chunk cookies that I saw on Facebook. They turned out pretty darn good and everyone in the house who tried one seemed to
